I checked the archives, but can't find what I'm looking for I need to measure my first bobcat and order a form, I will tanning with liqua tan The measurements I have are E-N 1 3/4 neck 9" girth 16 1/2 length 26" from nose to base of tail? I know on deer when measuring over the hair the form you need is smaller as for the thick hair we have here in upstate NY, should I expect to purchase a smaller then measured size form or go with what measurements I have? Thanks Jack

skin the cat and take your measurements from the carcass. nose to eye being the exception, that is done before skinning. pose the carcass the way you want it mounted and then take the body measurements. i think you will find that the mesurements you have now will be off on the large side
I will do just that Thanks again.
I have it done now and the measurements are different. Thanks again
A good rule of thumb for measurements is 36-26-36. But then you're married for a few and......Sorry, couldn't resist. Hope your cat turns out real purrrty! Jeff
glad i could help.
