I finished my stand, got the rollers right.I got a plastic 55 gal.drum,a pulley on one end,and a rolling shaft on the other end.Now I need to cut in a door.It has to go on the rounded side.Anybody got any ideas?I need to know about how big (I would like to get at least a deers hide in it) and if I can reuse the section I cut out,and how to seal the door. Thanks for any tips.Mark

Mark, I cut a hole about 12x15 in my drum. I cut a door from another drum, because it is the same curvature, measuring 13x16. U used a piano hinge and short screws to attach the door and latch to my tumbler. If it leaks sawdust out, use some insulating tape,1" wide with the sticky back and put around the door. Works great!

Don't run it faster than a hundred miles per hour...kinda beats the hell outta the birds. Slow it down to...maybe?...75 mph?

a sheet of lexan. Get it at a Home Depot or hardware store. It's flexible like plexiglass but will not break for the curve you need.
Plus you can see your skins while they tumble.

Thanks
