Try clorox, full strength, leave only 5 minutes. If you have time then leave them in full sn,usually 60 days will bring color to an even state. It is important to seal before staining. I like life tone fungicidal sealer thinned 50/50 with rubbing alchohol, then stain withwood stains wiped on and buffed off with cotton rag!

Green stain on antlers

Larry, Clorox will kill algae but I wouldn't use it full strength. 1 cup to a gallon of water is plenty strong. Use a rag and gloves to wet down the antler all over- do this outside and avoid breathing the fumes. Brush with an old toothbrush and wash down again with clorox water. IMPORTANT to soak completely in tub of clear water at least 1/2 hour to neutralize the bleach in the antlers. If you do not soak out the bleach it will continue to damage the bone. This way will work but I would not try bleach on old weathered/chalky antlers as they soak up too much and will damage easily. Enjoy, Aaron H.

Wash with trichophorus phosphate and it should come off.
