Manual question

I would like to have some opinions on which manual would be best for a beginner. I have been visiting this forum for the past four months, I have gathered up some tools hopefully some knowledge and other manuals but, haven't had time for any hands on training yet other than caping out a few deer and skinning some squirels not actually taxi'ing anything yet. My question is turkey season is coming up soon I think I would like to start my hands on with a turkey. Which manual do ya'll think would be more beneficial to me, other than probaly both.

Breakthrough Bird Taxidermy or Newmyer Upland Game Bird Taxidermy?

and Breakthrough Mammal Mounting Manual...you need them both to start with Birds and Squirreels if you want a good grounding.

Get WASCO's 7-Booklet Taxidermy Training Course for only $19.95...then the WASCO 6-Video set which compliments the lesson books...then their volume #-7 video on Flying Pheasant Mounting...

and John Bellucci's videos on Squirrel MNounting from WASCO...that's keep you busy and well educated on your way to becoming a good taxidermist.

Sounds like a lot to buy...but it's an INVESTMENT in your mind...your future...you'll be darn glad you did...I dad-blam-guarantee.

Every Breakthrough manuel I own is nothing short of fantastic. I have purchased many videos, and sometimes felt like I learned nothing from then, but the Breakthrough manuels and magazines are good investments. Im not familiar with the Newmyer product you ask about, but I do know his name is very well respected in the industry and would take the risk to find out. If his products wern't good, his name wouldnt be.

which manual?

hi i would highly recommend the Breakthrough manual. i own both books(and frank is a personal friend) but franks manuals are geared more towards the professional with little tricks he used to become a world champion. Also as a beginner if you want one book that covers all and is well worth the price get a copy of tim kelly's home taxidermy. I own this one as well and the info is unbeatable. My suggestion would b 2 start with tims book and as soon as u get serious start buying the Breakthrough series and then finally as your knowlege exspands then get the advanced books. as a side note tims books and then videos on specific things like turkeys would b the way i would go...--curt-
