racoon ears?

on a coon, do you turn the ears, or can you just card them, this is my first one, any input would be great

Yes, you do need to turn them. But I wouldn't try the bondo method on them. Most of mine I use an epoxy and card them. There are also ear liners you can buy for them.

You certainly do have to turn the ears Jim...if you want a respectable mount that's not going to look like Miss Piggy and filled with bugs and stench.

But...ignore this because it comes from ETCC...and he aint posta post heer no nore. Ask "Kiwi's Angels'.

But instead of Bondo on ears of small game, I use a small ball of Apoxie clay. It's easily pressed from outside the skin to form any shape you desire and when it hardens, it's less likely to break that Bondo.

If what George says sounds confusing...the Apoxie Clay is inserted into the turned ears...then pressed into shape from the outsede.
