A friend of mine in upper Mich. gave me a fisher, & I froze it solid then I wraped it in newspaper & put in plastic. Question is should I have left the paper off? I thought I would prevent freezer burn. Or is it to late? It's been a couple of months. Thanks--------Doug

Paper absorbs moisture and the ink ezimes don't help either. Rewrap it in freezer paper...then in a plastic bag.
One of the best things is to buy one of the vaccum sealer machines used for freezing food items. It extracts all the air from the bag and preserves its content for longer periods of time.
They cost around $100.00 or less...depending where you get it...for a complete system. A great investment for any taxidermist.
