First of all...BORAX...less than $4.00 for a 5-pound box. "20-Mule Team BVorax" (green box) in the laundry soap department...NOT "Boraxo"...which is a laundry soap.

"DAWN" Detergent for washing and Degreasing skins and hides...birds and animals. Dawn has been used for over 20-years to degrease and save wildlife from oil spills...and to wash the oil off rocks on beaches.

A 20-Quart flat-end...with hanfles plastic tub for washing your skins. $1.99...fits flat against the wall...heavy duty.

Glycerine...Hydrogen Peroxide...Wire in different gauges in coils...string...thread...Wood for base making and panels...saws...pliers...hypodermic needles and syringes at pharmacy department..files...pliers...wire cutters and snippers...knives...dowels for fleshing too and modeling tools...round fence post for fleshing beam...you name it.

That should start you off okay.

You can use a barrel sander on it to do finish fleshing, it thins and smooths nostril skin, nosepad, eyelids, tearducts, anywhere you want delicate skin thinned. And you will use it for adding detials to your manikin, like the nostrils. You will find many uses for it.

and chocolate too

I use to use the ole bottle of Airwick. Remove the cap from the bottle of green stuff...pull up on the wire handle to elevate the thick wick (hey!...I'm a poet...an didden evin no-et)...and the scent permeated the air and killed the ugly stuff attacking your nostrils.
