whats a good (hopefully fairly easy)way to preserve some deer legs for use in education programs - we use 'em for track classes, w.t. deer nat. history, etc.
I thought there was some stuff from WASCO or somewhere I could soak 'em/inject 'em with.
I'm not too queasy about this stuff so lemme know.....

Get Deer Foot Forms from WASCO...McKenzie...Van Dyke...Jonas...or any dealer catalog...el-cheapo cost.
Degydrate them in cool salt water...blow dry the hair side...Borax the skin...put in the form and sew it up.

That's 'Dehydrate'...my nose itched.
Take them to a local Taxidermist who might have the time to help you out. It's a tax write off for them and some taxi's actually like putting back into the community. Just a thought. Good Luck. Jeff F.
