thread color

I am working on my first bobcat. I have tried three times to order a light brown colored thread from WASCO, but they keep sending me black or very dark brown. Now they say that is all that they can get from their supplier.

I cannot seem to find light brown anywhere else. What color should I use for the bobcat? I hear some of you say that use fishing line, so what kind would that be?

To all of you who dedicate your time to helping us beginners - You're kindness is only overshadowed by your beauty.

As always, Thank You!

I use fireline for most of my mounts. i use the 8lb test, and the 20lb. test. Plus you can purchase it in any sporting good store.

Color Doesn't Matter.....

.....You are supposed to sew it so that the thread doesn't show. Coyote is right, Fireline is what you should be using.

fire line or dental floss

dental floss if you can't find the fire line.

Wall-Mart comes to the rescue...or your local sewing goods shop. Strong thread in any color is available...and you don't have to wait to get it.

Dental Floss...yes...for the teeth after you install the jawset (hate that nasty odor when they don'y use Listerine to gargle in the morning).

Fireline all the way.

I use a fine quilting thread for face cuts, any dark color in the brown shade.

Fireline works fine and even better than most threads.

So if I tell you I use lemon yellow Kevlar floss for sewing deer, what are you going to think? It works fine too.
