Outragious shipping charges are the norm in this world...learn to deal with it (I say this respectfully because of you're screaming iun my ear).
Wal-Mart is the World's Largest LOCAL Taxidermy Supply Company on the Planet Earth...except...they don't sell Forms...Yet...LOL.
They don't sell Air Brush Quality paints.
Get this catalog from Dixie Art & Airbrush Supplies...
(800)783-2612 <www.dixieart.com>
They sell Air Brushes, supplies, paints, videos, books, etc...Minimum $40.00 order gets you Free Shipping. Good luck on your endeavors.
Note...WASCO's Shipping Costs are minimal compared to other companies...Taxidermy related or oitherwise. They don't set the rates...the shippiers do.
Its there with everything you buy, even walmart charges each store for shipping.
So are you saving anything? No you are not getting products designed for taxidermy.
You might as well get used to spending a few extra bucks if yer gonna get anywhere in this great art! The little bit of money you'll save on paint from wally world will be spent on tylenol for the headaches you'll be gettin trying to figure out why in the heck your airbrush won't work. Been there , done that. Don't work! And as Ettc was implying , posts in all caps imply yellling and also take up extra forum space. Good Luck- Jeff F.
was the bird judge at the WI show this past Feb. In his seminar he used paints from the craft section in Wal-Mart, watered them down a bit and hand painted a freeze dried turkey head from Cally Morris. It looked great.
Patty do you have a hobby shop around your house I just went to a placed called hobby country and they have air brushes and paint. Just a idea Kevin
