Fleshing the brisket?

When fleshing the cape on rotory machine does the brisket need too be thinned, because its already pretty thin?would just removing flesh and fat be good enough?

I do shave them but it's thin like you said and you can skip this part if your afraid of cutting it.

Agree,but always remove all fat and membrane.
