i'm trying to tan a squirrel with liqitan it has been salted
and dryed rock hard;
now what would be my next step

The first thing you need to do is click onto the Orange Button and type in "Rehydrating"!
You'll find about everything you'll ever need t know in the Archives. If you cant find it in there,get back to us and you'll get the answers you need. But do some leg work first.

Soak it in a bucket or tub with salt water with addition of 1-ounce of 'Ultra Soft Relaxer' per gallon of water (From Van Dyke catalog) until it's soft...then work the rough spots with your fingers...being careful not to damage the hair.

Do NOT use warm water...room temperature is fine.
Then go into your tanning stages.
