I am getting ready to paint my freeze-dried head and was wondering which paint works best, the lacquer or water based paint. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I hand paint mine most of the time and I'll do water over laquer any day but that's my choice.
Now as you see you have two different opinions and you'll never find out unless you try them and only you can make the choice.

In a seminar I recently did with Paul Czernicki , he suggested using an acrylid matte medium . Said it could be acquired at an art supply store . Just mix with a little water . Said it was good stuff for duck bills too . Good Luck- Jeff F.
