sunfish is green

I painted my first blue gill sunfish and it turned out good, until I put the glimmer green on and then put the wet look coat on after that, the green really took over and does not look good anymore, the question I have is, can I take the paint and the clear coat off with minerial spirits and start over?
thank you again Judy

Judy, read the paint schedule closely

It warns you that the glimmers WILL take over a fish. You have to paint it under an INCANDESCENT light and you can see how much is going on. Flourescent lights don't work.

wash it off?

What about trying to spray...

... a little candy brown over it lightly to tone it down. If you're going to strip it anyways, it's worth a shot.

Actually, I've come up with a few slick paint schedules this way - by making "mistakes"...

Your answer is yes you may take the paint off and start over.
I always find it's better to start over than to over paint a fish.

To remove the paint, use acetone, a paint stripper or my favorite is cover the eyes and use a sand blaster. carefully on the fin's

Use all in a well ventilated area.
