I am doing my first turkey . I shot it this week, 22lbs I'm not sure what body to order there a so many. I know I want to mount it strutting but should I buy the bodies with legs attached. (by Tab Hinton) or should I use a plain turkey body from McKenzie( by Morris). What are the pros and cons of different bodies. Thanks for any info.....

Give one of or turkey mounting systems a try. Our bodies are foam plus we have flex foam drumsticks and necks so that you are not limited to the position of a form with legs attached. We also have several different size bases that are designed to mount your turkey on. Plus we have two new bases that allow you to mount a strutting turkey and hang him on the wall. They are the turkey ridge and the strut zone. You can call us with any questions at 1-800-529-3470 or visit our online store at www.aewstaxidermysupplies.com

I personally like the Cally Morris (McKenzie) body without the legs. I like to position the legs the way I want them. Don't forget to get a neck. Especially if you are going to mount him flying or gobbling. I also like Anthony Eddy freeze dried turkey heads.

Fritz,
I haven't used the anthony eddy eddy bodies, yet. They sound pretty good. I know their turkey heads and bases are top notch. They also have really nice reproduction morel mushrooms (always a nice touch on a turkey base).

I watched Tab Hinton do a turkey mount seminar last week in Roxboro N.C. I have to say Hats Off to him absolute outstanding work he made it look so easy I was told from everyone what a nightmare it was but believe me he made it look so simple but I know experience is everything anyway to answer the question he used a regular form no legs attached used the original leg bone wraped it up with the filler and string made a beautiful drumstick with it turned out real great he done the mount of a gobbling turkey on a limb Tab is a wonderful guy who knows his stuff also if you use artificial heads his are the best I seen at the show the detail is awesome take care to all good luck mounting God Bless Michael

Thanks
