I recently aquired an old goat skull that has been lying in a flower bed for quite sometime. It's discolored and the horn caps are missing. Nothing left but the porous looking boney cores. Since I'm a beginnner I thought I would practice whitening and minor repair techniques on this skull. If I somehow manage to get this skull looking halfway decent, what should I do about the missing horns?
Does anyone have any suggestions on something creative to do with cores? Would it be to hard for a beginner to resculpt and repaint horns from scratch or should I just whiten the cores and leave them as they are?
Thanks in advance.

Just take some Apoxie sculpt and form new horns. Use lots of water and just extrude the Apoxie over the existing cores. The horns don't have to be exceptionally long to look genuine.
