whitail deer nose painting?

I am fairly new at taxidermy.Anyway I was wanting to know if deer nose painting is needed or can you preserve the natural color?

You need to paint

Most of the color will stay, but you need to paint it if you want it to look life like and alive, which is what we all strive for in taxidermy. If you want it to look like the nose of a live deer, you will have to paint it and texture it.
