I will be trying my first redhead (duck) shortly, and am considering using Wildlife Colors- Confederate Gray, to paint the major portion of the bill with. Good choice? Other suggestions welcome. Many thanks, GW.

I don't know confederate gray, but a Redheads bill is blue gray fading to white before the Black the last three-eights of the bill.
I recommend you get some reference and follow it. WASCO Bird Finishing Manual is also very helpful. Without some reference paint schedules are not as effective.
