i made a quick search and came up empty. my question is, stainless alum,enamle,teflon or galvinized pot? some where i read that it does make a diff. tks, mark

It doesn't matter what material the pot it made out of. You are just simmering NOT BOILING the skull so burning is not a problem. That is unless you let the water get to low.
I use galvanized all the time it is cheap and last a long time.Don't over boil,I just had a nightmare with a Red stag skull ,brought From New Zealand , they overboil it so much i had to remove the skull and and use a fiberglass repro to mount the Head ,it was just crumbling.
thanks alex and dave. i was,nt sure of some discoloration to to the skull would happen or not. better safe than sorry. first euro mount.
