I have had a goat skull and horns stored for 8 months under my house. I figured by this time there wasn't anything left inside to stink[wrong]. Listen to the pros, they have to come off! Maybe this can help you.
1. Make sure wife is out of the house!
2. Place skull cap and at least 6 inches of the horns under hot water
3. remove in about 30 minutes and use the thinest knife you can find andwork it under the horn and skull.
4. Ater doing that put it back in the hot water to soak.
5. The key for removing the horns was to cut under the top ridge of the horns. This is where they get locked on.
6. If you have been able to work the knife all the way around under the horn, twist it off.
7. Make sure you are outside and upwind or you might loose your cookies.
Once I saw that the horns was hanging up under the to ridge the second horn came off real easy.........Good Luck, Dave
