wearing gloves

I've never worn gloves when I skin a fish or bird never thought I should....Isn't washing hands enough

That is foolish wheelman, birds can carry diseases such as Nile Virus and ensephalitis ,fish carry parasites such as round worms ,tape worm and any blood can be infectous; rememeber that Blood is used in laboratory for growing bacteria ,because it is a culture medium called blood agar.
Plus I don't want to forget that fish stinks, maybe not to you because you get acustumed to it, but have you ever put your arm around a woman after skinning fish all day ,and even after showering,and she turns her head away ,and very apologetically take your arm down.?

fewer diseases than mammals that can directly effect humans. Isn't your health worth pennies a day?

I guess it wouldn't hurt to have a box on hand of disposables gloves thanks for the input.
