First deer picked up

I just had my first deer picked up. It was for my nephew. It was also his first deer. I really appreciate all who have (with and without knowing) helped me so much. That orange button is great and without it I am sure I would have made a mess of things. My wife and Dad got on to me for picking my own work to pieces, but I know that I need to do this in order to progress. I have tried real hard to identify all my mistakes and to ask for other people to give their opinions. I have several more deer to do and one coyote, one more euro mount, as well as the bison I posted about last week (maybe).

My nephew was extremely proud of his deer. They say that you can not teach an old dog new tricks, but I don't believe that. It is extremely fun to learn at 44 yrs old. Thank you all for your help. It has been a long time since I had a burning desire to do something like this and I enjoy the feeling as well as the work.

Paul- Congrats on the progress. I rekindled my interest in this "hobby" at the ripe old age of 39 (last year) after nearly 25 years of absence from it. This site has been a wonderful learning tool and I would be nowhere near the point that I am now without it- and the free-giving, knowledgeable people who make it possible. Keep up the good work and good luck! PatrickR

Congratulations!
