Thin the skin down more and use Epo-Grip

You will not have any problems then. Be sure to ruff and scuff the forms.

How wide is the lip slot?

The thinner you cut it, the less room there is for the skin to shrink away.

Steve , I was told to use a plastic bag over the face for the 1st week to help slow the drying down ...I 've been doin it for yrs now and have great results ....
Hope this helps you out....Jeff

Cut the upper lip slot as you normally would. The smaller the better. Then cut a slot at 90 degrees, (for the front bottom lip area only) and tuck the bottom lip skin into this. This will yield excellent results especially if you use Epo-Grip. Hope this helps.

Another Method

Another method you could try is, make sure that your lips are thinned properly and make a small lipslot at a 90 degre angle. then before you tuck your bottom lip, put a couple table spoons of hide paste (I prefer Buckeye Supreme) under the bottom lip. After the lip is tucked, you can move the paste around under the skin and get it worked up into the lip slot. This helped me!
