We have the 'old' open mouth forms here.
Do i leave a thin wall of foam as a support for the sides/cheek area of the mouth/lips, or just cut it all away?
I know i cut a lip groove for the front of the lips to go in and some of the sides , (covering later with putty ect), i am just wondering about the back area of the mouth/lips that are stretched/pulled when the mouth is open.
If no foam support - how do i make sure these areas dry without wrinkling?

I always cut my lips off across the back crease of the mouth. Explaining it with words is tough but if you'll imagine a fox mouth closed with both lips level with the ground. At the back corner of the mouth when I'm fleshing, I make a verticle cut across both lip tangentally with the lip corner. This leaves a wedge of skin missing. When I tuck, the upper lip goes in the upper slot and the lower lip goes in the lower slot, The back corner has no skin to wrinkle and after the hide paste hardens, I putty over that small radius with Apoxie clay just like finishing the other lips.
Thats a good explanation george, and a good tip. Thanks.
So........ i do this to an open mouth?
