I am doing a mink with a open mouth and a jaw set installed. Does anybody out there know what the paint schedule would be for the open mouth?
Thanks
Dan

You usually give "beginners" better answers than that. Dan, as I told you privately, I've never done one where the interior mouth was exposed. I guess if I HAD to guess, I'd paint the mouth white and then use flesh to tint the sidewalls. Then I'd use a transparent red of give a more livid look to the gumlines and the lip lines. Just a guess, however.
Sorry guys...was having a 'bad hair day'. Somebody suggested I use a 'conditioner"?...LOL.
George is correct. I should have added a legit answer. I use the same technique he just described Dan...for the Open Mouth Weasels I mount...using the natural skull and teeth...with a artificial tongue carved out of pine wood.
Cut out the real tongue and use it as a pattern for the hand carved one you make. Glue it into place with a drop of epoxy glue...then paint as Geworge just described.
