I'm doing a closed mouth boar for the first time and it already looks difficult. It even looks harder than doing a open mouth boar! I'm using a Noonkester Boar Manikin.I guess the problem that i'm wondering about is how do you tuck the lips? Do i need to cut a lip slot? What about the corner gums? And do i need to just use the tusk or the jawset? Thank you in advance for the help!

Yep...need to cut the slip slot for tucking in the gums...same procedure as mounting a Deer Head. No jawset needed of it's closed mouth...but need to attach the tusks using Epo-Griop or similar product.
You really need to get Rick Carter's "Boar Head Mounting" Video from WASCO. It is for an Open Mouth...but valuable info you need for a Closed-Mount too.
Also...drop a note to Dan Moon ('Grasshopper") at Van Dyke's...sure he will offer you goos advice as well...danmoon@vandyketaxidermy.com
Other alternative is to phone Noonkester...your first option...since it is their form you are using. Good luck...let us see a pic when the beast is finished by posting the URL here...or sending me a pic to my E-Mail address...Take care.
