The skull plate on the antlers I'm working on has no visible meat. I removed the meneges(brain membrane). Do I still need to boil it in Sal Soda?

If you are mounting it........put some borax on it. Let it set a day or three and then mount it. Just get it as clean as you can. NO MEAT. MichelleW
Do not boil it...you'll weaken the skull and antlers if you do. Degrease it by washing in Dawn...dry it...then borax and mount it.
