My Mother and I went to a garage sale to find good items to sell on EBay. We ran across this fur coat that looks to be from the 1950's. It is almost curly, but is certainly not lamb of any type. It is coarse and looks almost like bear. It is certainly real, you can see on the reverse where the pelts are sewn together. WE ARE STUMPED! If anyone can help, that would be great! Thanks
The item is currently up for auction if you would like to see pictures - our seller name is SellMoreSeattleStuff.

The fur is a brown dyed "krimmer" lamb. (if I am incorrect it could be calf hide, many cattle have a curl like this at times.) Very popular in the 40's through early 60's. 80 bucks is a little steep for it, but if it's not splitting and the leather is good, the coat will be a warm purchase for someone.
