ordered a coyote shoulder form with no eyeset - you drill your own -(so much for saving money) - from pictures i am seeing on competiton yotes it appears the eys face nearly straight ahead - is this correct - also what cant down - thanx

Yes carnivores eyes pretty much face forward. Remember most of the forms came from a carcass cast at some point. There are several good books out with yote pics. But look for a 2003 calender, I found some great calenders for $2.00 at Barnes and Knobles, one was face shots of wolves, great reference!
The correct eye setting for a coyote, fox and most other predators is as follows; the angle of the eye, from the centerline of the head or face is about 67 degrees. The top of the eye slants backward at about 15 degrees. Predators have more frontal vision and less peripheral vision. Hope this helps.
