I have a customer who wants a brass pedistal for his european mount. Can't find one in any of the supply catalogs.

If the customer doesn't want to spend a fortune on something custom made, get a brass lamp, or candle sticks, and modify them to work. This is just a suggestion that I haven't fully thought out, but it's a starting point. If it's a table top pedestal, I think you could do something with a candle stick, depending on what kind of animal it is, and how big it is. I've seen some pretty stout brass candle sticks. Be creative, and have fun. Oh, and be sure to charge for the extra work.
