I mounted my first gar last week and it has been drying.I checked on it today and noticed it has light green spots under the scales in random areas.Has anyone seen this and know what it is and if it is a problem? The fish was cleaned and fleshed very well.I degreased it treated with borax and lysol like all other fish I have mounted.Any help with this is apreciated.

James, Lysol is of no use anymore as it doesn't contain phenol. Check the archives for better solutions. When your fish is dry, paint it with a coat of Clorox and they'll go away.
Same questions over and over and yet beginners dont want to listen so why answer.
Sounds like you dont know anymore than a beginner because you leave assinine responses to questions. This is the section entitled BEGINNERS when i last checked. If you dont have a descent response to a question keep it to yourself.People like you are the reason people cant get answers to questions and turn elsewhere.
I typed in mold and recieved more information than your brain can seperate in a eon.
