How long do you guys let your finished mounts hang in your shop to dry and finish shrinking so that you can do the finishing touch up before telling the customer they can come pick it up? Do you have to let a wet tanned mount dry longer than a DP mount?

wchare, Drying time will vary with humidity, hair thickness, even type of adhessive. I'm in N C and air condition my shop which keeps the humidity down some. I wait 2 weeks for most things to dry before repairs and finishing. To check for dryness feel down inside ears of gameheads and the throats of fish. Don't rush it- nobody wins if your beautiful finish work doesn't last. Enjoy, Aaron H.
Thanks for the info. I have just been doing taxidermy as a hobby in my spare time, so my stuff usually takes several weeks between mounting and doing the final finish work and I really never paid any attention to how long things took to dry. Thanks again, Wes
