Krowtann question

Hi All. I had the good forture of finding a very fresh road killed fox pup this morning in EXCELLENT shape, not a missing hair! I skinned and turned but plan on using Krowtann on this critter. Never used it before but love skipping the salting and pickling. My question is this, since you don't need to salt, can I leave the tail unsplit? I hate sewing and if the tan will penetrate adequately, I'd love to leave it whole. Thanks!

Use a long needle and COTTON TWINE.

Use COTTON TWINE, must be COTTON CANT YELL IT LOUD ENOUGH HERE> Run a long COTTON TWINE string through the tail all the way out the tip leave about 6 inchs out on each end this will wick the KROWTANN into the tail.

Thanks
