I have a moose hide to pickle, and need to know if oxalic acid will work, and how long to leave it in the pickle. Also what should the ph of a moose pickle be in warm humid weather. If anybody has a secret method of shaving/thinning down a hide(I dont have a fleashing machine)please let me know! thanks much!

cant awnser your ? about acid but you can use a 5 inch grinder with
a 1/4 inch grinding wheel. alot of work, but if it is all ya got, it is all ya got. e-mail me if ya wanna know more. im shure one of the tanning experts will awnser your acid question.
