We already have one. This would just make it official. Every GI who ever served is locked in but every state that has a pictured drivers license and is tied into the national criminal registry is a contributor for this. Remember the sniper in DC? Didn't take long thanks to that little device. Big Brother has been out there for awhile already and don't think he doesn't know. Your Social Security Number is already on file and now many states are requiring you give it to get any state services, including fishing and hunting licenses. It's under the guise of "deadbeat dads", but don't you believe it. They're already watching.
Another thing to keep in mind is how this all ties in with the war on terrorism. I can see some yahoo in washington, say the Attorney General, saying that to protect us against terrorism...we should have a national ID. Be careful of what they are trying to do to our rights and freedoms under the guise of the war on terrorism. Maybe they can tattoo the numbers on our forearms? That way, we wont forget them. I guess shrub's trip to the camps in Germany was for collecting ideas?
NATIONAL I.D.REGISTREY WILL come to pass .. however it will be a WORLD wide registry .. this is not speculation this is fact. The Bible speaks of this. It's called the mark of the beast.. big brother has nothing to do with it unless you want to refer to satan as big brother. The number that you will be issued is the number that WILL be placed on your right hand or forehead ..this will not be a visible number for all to see (this is MY thinking) but it will be required of you to take this number so that you may work, buy merchandise, or trade. IF you refuse to take this mark (or number) then you will beheaded. Laugh or weep the choice is yours .. i will pray that each of you get a chance to hear the truth before it is too late. This is not sci-fiction the Bible has never lied and facts are being discover every day to prove it to all that want to hear that God loves all of us and wants none of us to die from fellowship with Him.

Fundamentalist tend to get carried away with their interpretations of what the Bible does and doesn't say. If you accept is as the truth unquestioningly, you're in big trouble as the gospels were written long after the death of their authors and even they didn't agree on their stories of either the birth or death of Christ. (Wise Men were only mentioned in one Gospel and nothing was ever mentioned about Three of them, only that 3 gifts were given). So please, you're welcomed to believe whatever you want, but why not state it that way as a preface. Some of us, me in particular, get real defensive when I'm told WHAT I have to believe in.
I think the idea is to stop Identity theft...some people are living double lives with someone elses I.D. other then there own?

In my resaponse to Martha above...referring to the One Government World...in which our 'prestigious' (NOT) exppres Clinton signed away our US Soverign Rights. My Aussie friend is equally worried as we can do nothing about it as our world as-we-know-it...is crumbling beneath our feet.
This is NOT a Dooms-Day speculation...based on facts...proven by anybody who cares to verify them. A 'Fact' is verifiable Truth.
And Yes...I Am a Christian who Believes in God and Jesus Christ as The Living Son of God...my Personal Savior...and yes again...I do pray for the uninitiated to be Saved befdore it's too late fore their individual soul.
We don't really 'know what's on the-other-side',...but Christians go in Faith...too late later if others find out differently, 'then'...right? So why take a chance? Call it Free Insurance if that makes you anyone feel better.

I find it extremely insulting that you'd have someone "pray for me". The relationship I have between me and My Lord are just fine and I neither want or need your prayers. I don't now nor ever have believed in death bed confessions, or "born again Christians". I was born to a Christian family, raised in the Christian faith and accepted God without question as long as I've lived. I see no reason nor insight in having to be "reborn" and I pity those that had to the luxury to celebrate their sinfulness before finally seeing the light. I'm as pure as any man and I know there ARE no pure men, so I'd suggest you pray for yourself and leave those of us who've known God all our lives alone. When judgement comes, I'll be judged on my actions and they certainly won't be affected by any you waste toward me.

I am sorry I did not mean to insult you. I am jusy saying what I believe in The word of God Jesus words in the Bible. I was raised Catholic all my life and never studed the Bible I let a priest tell me what it said when I would listen Plus my Dad Mom Grandma ect. I hope and Pray I can explain myself without insulting you. When I turned 40 ten years ago. I was born again of the spirt this time. I finally woke up I could start understanding God. The war started in my mind. I was convicted of my sin nature. My spirt was born God lives in me My spirt is alive. Now my fleash or body is at war with my spirt. Thats where the war is in me not with you. The bible is the word of God. That is our bread or food for our spirt. We all need prayer for each other including me. If you want to debait this do it with the Bible I did and found all the answers for peace that Jesus brought to me with his spirt. Love you anyway Because you were made in the Image of God. Randy
