Andrew, I'm not sure of the old forms. What I do is try the skin on the form and follow about one fourth of an inch from the hairline. Mark the line with pencil, remove skin and your ready to cut out and hollow out the form to accept the jaws. I round off the lip on the form about one fourth inch thick. I super glue the lip and trim it off top dead center all the way around. After drying I use smoothout to hid the match and paint. I hope this answers your question.
I remove the top of the form about in the center of the mouth. Hollow it out and fit my jawset. Making sure it does not have too big of a gap in the rear of the mouth. If I have plenty of inner lip skin, ( Which I usually do as I know what is to be mounted open mouth before I skin) I then cut a 1/8 inch grove about 3/16 inch deep along the edge of the jawset. to where the rear of the mouth begins to close up. Then I replace the top of the form. when I mount the hide. I use a liberal coat of killer glue. And tuck the inner lip skin into the grove along the jawset. push it back into the inner mouth. and smooth with a paint Paddle. When dry a little sculpt all finishes it off before painting.
thanks for the help
