i have a bocat skin that has only been salt dried, What can I clean the fur with to get the dried oil and blood off the edges?

Abbie, I would not recomend that you try to keep the cat in it's salted condition long term. Eventually it will go bad as salting is intended to hold the skin temporarily.Best to tan it and during the tanning process the blood and oil will be removed. If you are determined to clean it and leave salt dried you can wash the fur with water and a little shampoo or Dawn detergent. If you get the skin very wet you might do well to resalt the skin to dry. -Aaron H.
