The only bird I'm intrested in mounting is a Turkey, And I'm looking for something like the Breakthrough manual except it specializes in just turkey. Is there anything out there like that.
I want something in print and also any suggestions on a quality video (something recorded with in the last year or so) with up to date methods would be appericated. Thanks

You can get his video from McKenzie. I have mounted two birds using his system and it went pretty well. One thing he does different is removes the wing bones and replaces them with artifical ones from his systems. Some taxidermist say to never remove the wing bone or you will loose the correct joint position. Joe's system has the joint in there and the wire bends fairly easy. Good luck
I have recently published "The complete guide to Turkey Taxidermy." In the book I have attempted to include overlooked subjects such as tools, field care, mount care, head choice and preparation, along with several poses. I also show the leg to leg as well as ventral incision skinning methods. I try to explain the simplest methods that I am aware of along with tricks of the trade. Todd's book is great, easy to follow, consise and complete. I recommend this book to all beginners. I have it and have read it and feel it is a "Quality" book for anyone.
Another good book is Ed Thompson's "Mounting a Strutting Wild Turkey" available from WASCO (Product # BP2011) is is less expensive than Todd's book and it is specialized for the strutting pose. I have both and wouldn't put one above the other. Do yourself a favor and get both! Just my opinion.

I have several videos, Mr. Triplett's book, WASCO books, etc. but the real kickers are those Breakthrough articles. They just made everything click. I had good basic knowledge from my other materials, but Cally's methods put me over the top and I feel like I'm on the right track now.
