I'm trying to fit my racoon over the mannikin, but feet and hands won't go. I sanded them down to where they almost come to a point,so now the upper arm looks out of place. It's the right size form, and the feet have to be sanded down too. I have the ready rod bent up to the feet but it seems pretty thick to get the ankle area part of the leg over the foot. should i cut the ready rod off and stick some heavy wire up the feet.Guess what i'm asking is do you usually have to sand down the feet and hands a lot? thanks Tom Hall Oh how do i fill all that area of feet and hands that i have sanded down?

To stretch the legs before pulling the skin on. It works really well. Like Bruce said, use hide paste and it goes on much easier. I fill my toes with caulking before putting the legs in. Just keep adjusting the toes as they dry. Caulk works good in the pad area too on legs that don't have the support rod, clay would be a better option (less messy) on your legs with the support rod. You can rebuild the foot area of the form with clay before installing the leg. Good luck.
