Doing deer tails

I have a question how do you guy/gals do deer tails need suggestions on diffrent methods. Also how much do you charge to do this.

Customer want deer tails tanned so he can make decroation from them.

PS I tried the search and couldn't find anything on this subject.

I split them, then tan as usual

This is the same thing I do if I am making a rug/wall hanging with the tail on. Just split it down the underside (they make guides for this) and away you go. This also works well when customers want the deer tail tanned for making fishing flies.

For my customers that I know have children I take the tail from their deer, split, and tan like above but then I make a head and body form cottom and add eyes at the butt end and sew it up. The kids love them and brings there daddy back.

I am looking for deer tails that are either tanned or salted if anyone has any I am looking for about 50 of them to start
