am having trouble turning small ears (raccoons and foxes) - i am not new to taxidermy but i shudder every time i start on these mammals - give me some tips

Turning mammal ears made easier

I read your question as having trouble turning ears--not cartilage removal. So my suggestion (and it works) is to inject water into the ears and work the water around with your fingers. Use a very small needle. I use insulin that are very fine and short. Inject around the edges at an angle so as to not go thru other side.
Works for me. I recommend BD ultra fine Insulin Syringes. You can buy 10 to-the-pack at local Pharm. economically priced. Nbr. 328411.
