What i did, i'm 16 also by the way, i took a big 50 gallon burning barrel type thing, and cut it at about 12 inches from the bottom all the way around, then i took and cut that in half to get like a semi circle thing going, i then welded a peice of medal to the bottoma and it's inclosed except for the front. Then i drilled a whole and got a motor runs at about 1400 rpms, i think. prop it up with some wood so that it goes through the whole nicely, we put a rubber gasket thing in the whole so it wouldn't vibrate on the metal, got a thing that went from the arbor, maybe that what you call it, to the wire wheel sold by Van Dykes. my direction are bad and i used a lot things so if someone can fill in the things with something make sense it would help arvid more than me. but i think i got the basics

You don't need to de-grease birds. Skin them, then use a wire wheel to get as much fat off as you can. Then wash the skin....................and I mean WASH THE SKIN. Inside and out. Use a soft brisle brush and scrub the inside and the outside of the bird. Use any dishsoap. Then rinse it good-and I mean good. Gently squeeze as much water out of the skin as possible then tumble in corn cob grit. It's then ready to mount! Skullboy

Washing with dishsoap just happens to be DEGREASING. Some soaps are just better than others.

thanks

You are right-technically, washing in soap is degreasing. But I think you know that when most people refer to degreasing birds, they are talking about a gas bath. Which is not really necessary. Skullboy

I think when he said degreaser, i think he meant a wire wheel, which is the same thing, i am not possitive though
