Hello Everyone:
I would like to know what you guy's and gal's do while your deer skins our out at the tannery being tanned for the 3-4 month's it takes to get done. How does this affect your turn-around time for your client?
Thanks Bunches,
Allen

Allen, I certainly can't speak for everyone, but in my studio that "waiting period" is spent doing fish, birds, small game and bears, all of which came in before the deer season ever began. It might be different for the shops that use wholesalers, but I'm one of those odd birds that prefers to handle everything in shop.
Play catch up as Mick said or tan a few your self and work on those while the rest are at the tannery.
They always get back before I can get to them anyway. Like Mick said, there better be other things that you need to do, or you are doing something wrong.
