Soft water iz wut cums outta da tap, hard water wud be ice.
Hard water is water that contains a high mineral content; especially calcium and magnesium but can include iron, copper, zinc, etc. This type of water will not make soap bubbles easily. Soft water is basically free of these minerals and sudsing of soap is quite easy.

Is bottled water soft water. Like spring water or something. I'm sorry for asking anyone about this I thought this forums was so that people can help you.
distilled water can be purchased at about any grocery or department store. Glass steam distilled water will be about the purest form of water you will be able to get your hands on.
Some stores offer "reverse osmosis water", makes it worth more if it's called that instead of soft water.
I was hesitant to reply to this post as you did not state what the end use of the water was for. The "kind" of water you use can make a difference in end results.
You can also check your yellow pages and look under water softeners for sources if you are needing volume.
A water softner from culligans' or sears and have all the soft water you want,

Depending on where you live, you could have soft water. Don't get your hopes up, it is not common but it does exist. Some cities treat the water if it is hard. You won't know if it doesn't get tested.
