Rehydrate before pickle

I use water with Rittles Ultra Soft added to the mixture, thats all. After its softens up in about 5 to 8 hours depending on how well you fleshed it, now it goes to the pickle.

I do what Paul does, adding another step. Rittels "Blood-Out" in with the mixture lends to a cleaner cape.

Dumb question?

Hey "P"! There is no such thing as a "dumb question". It is smarter to ask questions and learn than it is to not ask and do a job wrong. We all have become better by asking "dumb questions"!
Good luck in your quest to become a better taxidermist!
