I am still new to taxidermy, although I have mounted some deer heads, but never any fawns yet. I have searched the archives and couldn't find what I was looking for. I may just haven't typed in the right words yet, don't know. I have a fawn that was a road kill and the rear end is really messed up, the rest is fine. So I am wanting to do a shoulder mount with it. It's a doe with measurements of 16 in. neck (that may not be correct, I'll remeasure tomorrow) and E-N is 3 in., thats the frozen measurements. I have looked through my catologs I have and some on the net and can't find the maniken that will work. My question is: Any one know of a supplier that has fawn shoulder mount forms. All I've found so far are for lifesize. Or a company that could make a form that would work? Thanks in advance, Theresa

It may take a few days longer, but give them a call when you find the form thats closest in size, I prefer to use a smaller form and enlarge it. You may could do a half mount. But check the companies most will help you out.
Has a med. size fawn shoulder mount that I've used before, page29 of their new catalog. A 16" neck is very big for a doe (esp a fawn) look in the front of the mag on how to measure and then order your form. Like JOhn C said order smaller and enlarge if you have to.
LOOK IN McKenzie THEY HAVE A NICE PEDESTAL SHOULDER MOUNT WITH THAT EXACT MEASUREMENT.
Stop yelling.
I will contact them.
what state are you in, 16 inch necks on fawns.
That sounds like a doe adult.
or an axis deer doe, that has spots like a fawn.
I sure will like to go hunt in your state if fawns have 16 inch necks the bucks must be 40 inch necks then, lol
the fawn and they measure neck-9", E-N-3". I don't know how I got 16", thanks for all the help.
