Without knowing what you have done thus far it is hard to determine what you need to do. So I will give you a brief synopses of what I do.
I do antler mounts in three ways. Modern in which I use a commercial antler block and a synthetic covering. pretty much straight forward. Screw the Antlers to the block, then place on a plaque, then cover with the cover and attach with decretive tacks.
The second and third are what I call Classic styling. Both are done the same. One is covered with Colored felt. and the other with buckskin. The process for this is to cut a piece of 3/8" plywood in a crest shape just big enough to hold the antlers. Screw the antlers to the plywood. Then fill and shape the skull plate area with bondo until you have a uniform shape. sand it smooth. Measure the distance between the anthers. Cut two holes slightly smaller than the antlers below the burrs in a piece of cloth, or buckskin ample enough to cover the Shield. Then cut straight out the back. wrap the material around the antlers pull snug from the rear. And staple to the bottom of the plywood. then pull the sides making sure the seem is directly behind the antlers, with 1/2" overlap and staple, work your way around to the front pulling out any wrinkles as you go. That's it. screw the shield to the Panel. It takes no more time to do than it takes to explain. hope this helps you out.

thank you
