If your unlicensed you can't do that. The only thing that is legal is selling reproduction fish.
In PA you can't mount any thing for any one that means you doing it for yourself and then selling it. You can be given mammals to pratice on but you must have all the hunters information on records. All of these gifted items are yours to keep forever and should not be given back to the owner at any cost.
Our laws are very strict on what can or can't be done by licensed or unlicensed taxidermists. Get a hold of your local CEO and just for thoughts get into the PA taxitermist and check out the forum there and if you think about it join the association. We try to help out every person pass the test. Every year at the state show they have the game commision there along with the people who do the critiquing. They also pass out a hand book with some of the laws you need to know and a ton of more info in there for you.
Passing our test is one of the easiest test to pass! What they want is good sound work that is clean and close to being anatomically correct. Do not look at another taxidermist work and feel that your work is close to thiers and you should have no problem passing. One of the problems some have is after they pass thier test they don't keep up on thier education and the work gets a bit sloppy from taking in to much work and being underpriced. You need to bring in your best top quality work and passing should be a breeze. I have seen what passes our test and there is no way (many say this that it needs to be competition work WRONG) that you need this to pass. Many who have passed the test wouldn't even get a ribbon at a state show!
Becareful and don't do any thing without checking with your CEO. If word gets out and you get caught, in plain words, it's not worth it.
Pa game law's are strict dont even think about it.. mean green is everwere ( pgc )
