hi,i looked in the archieves and there about 17 posts,george uses it to get a little more stretch,put some use it for smell,my ? is...i salted a deer cape 24 hrs. now i just put it in the pickle of 7 gallons of water,7 lbs salt,3 1/2 oz of saftee-acid(ph is 1-2) for 72 hours.then i going to tan with van-dykes syn-oil..so i like the smell of downy also so which step should i use some,in the pickle or in nutrlize,or in the rinse,or after the tan sets overnight?or should i just forget it.thanks folks
