I am a beginner and wondering about seamless capeing.I have books from great western
taxidermy school and no mention of this. Can anyone explain the procedure? Thank You

Cut just enough to get the antlers off.
A true seamless cape has no cut at all down the back. This is achieved by skinning around the antler burrs and then cutting the antlers off. Finish skinning the face and head then remove it through the bottom of the cape.
